French certified violin bow by Charles Theodor Guinot, c. 1845.
A rare, fine French violin bow by Charles Theodor Guinot ca. 1845 with an exception of a later made button. This is a nice example of Pajeot/Maire school in a fine state of preservation. The stick is red brown amourette of excellent choice and figuration, round in shape. The frog and button are ebony with nickel mountings. The length of the stick is 72.6 cm and the weight of the bow is 59 with tinsel winding.
