A very fine French violin bow made by Jean Joseph Martin ca. 1870. This is a first class example in a perfect, collector’s level state of preservation. The stick is red brown pernambuco, round in shape. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. The length of the stick is 73.5 cm and the weight of the bow is 55 g (with original ligh tsilk winding). This is high level playing bow, suitable for a fine musician or a demanding collector.
