A very fine English cello bow made by William and James Tubbs ca. 1855.
A very fine English cello bow made by William and his son James Tubbs ca. 1855 (button later probabaly by Knopf family). William was trained by his father, Thomas Tubbs and later by James and Edward Dodd (II). This is excellent, rare example made with inspiration of Dodd model, branded “DODD”. This is outstanding, high level performing cello bow in a very fine state of preservation. The length of the stick is 70 cm and the weight of the bow is 80 g.
