French violin bow by Ch. N. Harmand, ca. 1850
A rare French violin bow made by Ch.N. Harmand (1826-1871) ca. 1855. This is a wonderful example that was probably inspired by the model of Joseph Rene Lafleur (most likely Harmand worked with Lafleur after 1853). This excellent playing bow is in a fine state of preservation. The length of the stick is 73 cm and the weight of the bow is 61.5 g.
