German violin bow, Hoyer shop branded “LEON PIQUE”, made c. 1930.

German violin bow probably made by Hoyer shop c. 1930 branded “LEON PIQUE”. This is an excellent playing bow suitable for a demanding professional musician. The stick is a superb medium brown pernambuco with spectacular figuration, octagonal in shape; he original frog and button are ebony with nickel-silver mountings. This is a nicely made example, also a strong, fine sounding and handling cello bow in excellent state of preservation. The length of the stick is 70cm and the weight of the bow is 81 g.
