German cello bow made by Herman Richard Pfretzschner, ca. 1895.

A fine German cello bow made by Herman Richard Pfretzschner ca. 1895 for the firm of Weichold. The stick is red brown pernambuco, octagonal in dhape, the frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. The length of the stick is 70 cm and the weight of the bow is 75 g (with original, light tinsel winding). This is excellent playing bow in a very fine state of preservation.
