German violin bow made by Carl Heinrich Knopf ca.1870
A very fine German violin bow made by Carl Heinrich Knopf ca.1867, branded “DODD”. The stick is excellent red brown pernambuco, the frog and button are ebony with siver mountings. The length of the stick is 72.4, the weight of the bow is 59.5 g. This is a nice example and excellent playing bow, suitable for a very fine musician or a collector.
