A very fine German violin bow made by Johann Wilhelm Knopf ca. 1870. This is an exceptionally beautiful example in a fine state of preservation. The stick is dark red brown pernambuco of superior choice and figuration, octagonal, strong with a perfect flexibility, fine balance and a first class sound. The length of the stick is 72.7 cm and the weight of the bow is 61 g. This bow is a wonderful example, suitable for a fine musician, including a solo performer.
