German violin bow made by J.W. Knopf circa 1870.
A very fine German violin bow made by Johann wilhelm Knopf circa 1870. This is an exceptionally beautiful example in a fine state of preservation, similar in some ideas and level to the work of J.W. Knopf. The stick is dark red brown pernambuco of superior choice and figuration, octagonal, strong with a perfect flexibility, fine balance and a first class sound. The length of the stick is 72.7 cm and the weight of the bow is 62 g. This bow is a wonderful example, suitable for a fine musician, including a solo performer.
Certificates: A.Gartsman violins.
