French violin bow made by Charles Peccatte ca. 1870.
A rare French violin bow by Charles Peccatte ca. 1870 with later made button. This nice example was made for J.B. Vuillaume and branded “J.B. VUILLAUME”. The stick is golden-brown pernambuco of superiour selection and figuration, round in shape. The bow is in a very good state of preservation and it is suitable for a fine, demanding musician. The weight of the bow is 60.8 g.
