Fine German gold mounted violin bow by Carl Albert Nürnberger, ca. 1940.

A very fine gold mounted German violin bow made ca. 1940 by Carl Albert Nürnberger, branded on the stick above the frog. This is a superb, Tourte model inspired example. This is a first class playing bow in a very good state of preservation. The stick is medium brown pernambuco, octagonal, strong with a perfect flexibility, fine balanced and very beautiful sound. The length of the stick is 72.9 cm and the weight of the bow with very light original winding is 60 g.
