German violin bow by Johann Wilhelm Knopf, ca. 1860
A very fine old German violin bow made by Johann Wilhelm Knopf ca.1860. This is beautiful example made with inspiration of F.X. Tourte model in a very good state of preservation. It is excellent sounding and handling bow. The length of the stick is 72.6 cm and the weight of the bow is 58 g with very light tinsel/silk winding.
