A very fine German violin bow made by Hermann Richard Pfretzschner c. 1890. This is a wonderful example, also one of the best handling and sounding bows from this great maker in a very fine state of preservation. The stick is red brown pernambuco of superior selection and figuration, octagonal in shape. The frog and button are ebony with silver mounting.. The length of the stick is 72.7, the weight of the bow is 55 g with original, very light tinsel winding. This is excellent example and outstanding playing bow, suitable for a very fine musician.
