A very fine French violin bow made by Charles Joseph Theodore Guinot ca. 1845. This is a rare, excellent sounding and handling, very elegant bow. The stick is beautifully flamed red brown pernambuco, round in shape, the original frog and button are ebony with nickel mountings. The bow is in a fine state of preservation. The length of the stick is 72.8 cm, the weight of the bow is 60 g. This bow is recommended to a fine musician seeking a high level mid 19th century French bow in a moderate price range.
