French violin bow made by Charles Peccatte ca. 1870.

A very fine French violin bow by Charles Peccatte ca. 1870 with exception of a later made button. This a wonderful example that was made for J.B. Vuillaume, also branded “J.B. VUILLAUME”. The stick is round  pernambuco of superiour selection and figuration, golden brown in colour. The frog is also by Chrales Peccatte from the same period, but from another bow. The bow is in excellent state of preservation and it is suitable for a fine performer. The length of the stick is 71.55 cm and the weight of the bow is 60 g.
