German violin bow made by Christian Friedrich Wilhelm Knopf ca.1840.
A rare, very fine German violin bow made by Christian Friedrich Wilhelm Knopf circa 1840 for the Bausch firm, branded “BAUSCH”. The same period and similar style frog is from another stick, the button is later made. This excellent playing bow is made with inspiration of Lupot model. The bow is in a fine state of preservation. The weight of the bow is 59 g.
