A rare, very fine German gold mounted violin bow made by August Moritz Knopf for Richard Weichold ca. 1885. This is a nice example branded ” R. WEICHOLD DRESDEN”. This wonderful playing bow is in excellent state of preservation, all original.
The stick is dark red brown pernambuco, octagonal, strong with a fine balance and excellent sound. The length of the stick is 72.8 cm and the weight is 59.5 g.
