German violin bow made, Knopf family ca. 1880, Tourte/”Grand” Adam inspired model
A fine German violin bow made by Knopf family made ca. 1880. This is a very nice bow made with inspiration of Tourte/”Grand” Adam model. The stick is red brown pernambuco, round in shape. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. The length of the stick is 72.1 cm and the weight of the bow is 58 g with light origi nal tinsel winding. This fine bow is in excellent condition.
